About the Artist

John was born in a small town in central Thailand. His father was a cartoonist and children book illustrator. As a young boy, John recalls watching his father working and tried to imitate him. By the age of 19, he helped his father in many comic books while attending the University of Fine Arts in Bangkok.

He came to America in 1972 and began his career as a painter with an interior design company. He then worked as a billboard artist at Foster and Kleiser in Los Angeles, California for 12 years. In 1996, he and his partners opened "ThemeScape Art Studios" in Chino, California and has done several projects for two major theme parks in Orlando, Florida, Osaka, Japan, and Anaheim, California and many large murals for hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, such as the Venetian, the Aladdin, the Luxor, Mandalay Bay, the Silverton and the Cannery. John has done many art shows and has won numerous awards.

"There are so many interesting places, people and cultures out there in the world that I would love to paint and explore, so I always travel with my camera hoping to capture those images of people's emotions, facial expressions and moments in time and share with you through my brush strokes. I always enjoy doing my paintings, the results may not be perfect every time, but I hope you enjoy them". - J.T.
