Dave began creating pencil drawings, cartooning, and sign painting during his early school years. After finishing high school, he was accepted at the Hollywood Art Center School, where he studied commercial art, advertising, cartooning and painting. He attended Art Center in Pasadena and Los Angeles Trade Tech where he honed his painting techniques

Dave worked as a billboard artist at Gannett Outdoor Advertising, and a scenic artist for Walt Disney Imagineering, Warner Bros, and Disneyland. As a freelance artist Dave has done murals for Disney stores and other themed environments, His work includes commercial art, sign/pictorial graphics, scenic art, neon art and oil & acrylic paintings. Interested in aviation and motorsports Dave created his Screamin’ Series acrylic paintings available on Giclee prints.
